However, providing personal data is necessary for processing your application or concluding an employment contract with us.
When we obtain information from your public profile on professional social networks, we base the processing on our legitimate interest in forming a decision-making basis for establishing an employment relationship with you. Furthermore, we may process personal data about you to the extent necessary to defend against legal claims arising from the application process against us.

5. Recipients of Data

Your application data will only be made accessible to Steck employees involved in the decision-making process regarding the application. This specifically includes the human resources department, which coordinates the application process, as well as the supervisor(s) of the position to be filled. In the case of an unsolicited application, your application data will also only be forwarded to the relevant Steck employees who may have an interest in considering your application documents.

7. Retention Period

The application documents you submitted will be deleted six months after rejection, unless otherwise agreed. The same applies to applications you submitted in paper form. These will be physically destroyed. With your consent, we store your personal data and application documents for up to twenty-four months to keep your application pending for any future job offers. Upon request, early deletion of your application data is possible at any time. The processing of data for the assertion, exercise, or defense of legal claims or for other justifiable reasons allowing the retention of data beyond the specified periods remains reserved. If you are hired by Steck, the application documents will be added to the personnel files.

8. Data Security

Steck processes as few personal data as necessary and protects them against loss and misuse (e.g., unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure). The technical and organizational measures for data security are appropriate and meet high standards (e.g., use of up-to-date firewall and antivirus products, personal passwords with multi-factor authentication technologies, encryption and access restrictions, awareness, and training of employees). They are continuously adapted to the threat situation. The protection corresponds to the current state of technology as well as the nature and scope of the processing.

9. Changes to the Privacy Policy

We expressly reserve the right to supplement or change this privacy policy at any time. All changes and additions are at Steck's sole discretion.
